Marriott Hotels Extends "Cake From Buddy" Promotion and Adds Participation by Four New York Area Hotels
The "Cake From Buddy" promotion — which was launched
by Marriott Hotels last September for its New Jersey and Philadelphia properties — has been extended until January 7, 2013. Additionally, four New York area hotels will now be participating as well.
According to Lawrence Cassenti, Senior Marketing Manager, Marriott International, "This promotion has proven to be so successful, that we have decided to extend it and also add in four New York area hotels which host a large number of weddings." The four new hotels include the Westchester Marriott, Long Island Marriott, New York LaGuardia Airport Marriott, and New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge and bring the total number of participating hotels to 12.
Mr. Cassenti notes that the "Cake From Buddy" promotion has also been incredibly popular for Sweet Sixteen parties and Bar and Bat Mitzvahs held at Marriott hotels as well. "This is particularly interesting to me since my 14-year old son, Logan, was the one who first suggested to me that Marriott should offer cakes from Carlo's Bakery since he is such a huge fan of the 'Cake Boss' TLC show."
The "Cake From Buddy" promotion applies to any social (wedding, birthday, anniversary, etc.) or corporate event booked at a participating Marriott Hotel. It features a cake from Carlo's Bakery (featured on TLC's "Cake Boss" show) sized for the number of people which been guaranteed for the event and an exclusive Carlo's Bakery Experience which includes:
- Cake tasting at Carlo's Bakery's new Lackawanna facility (a $100 value)
- One-on-one consultation with a member of Buddy's staff
- Behind the scenes look at Buddy's new bakery facility
- Autographed photograph from Buddy
Participants in the Cake From Buddy promotion can choose from the Marriott signature cake or any of 24 other designs from Carlo's Bakery as part of their package or they can upgrade the cake to any of 228 styles that Carlo's Bakery offers for an additional fee.
